If this name sounds familiar, it’s because the site used to be hosted over at The-BarnBurner.com, where we covered a variety of topics including Memphis sports, pop culture, and more.
The BarnBurner was founded by @thebarnchief back in 2017 as a creative outlet for a group of us to express our passion for topics outside of our everyday 9-5 lives. We wrote about a number of topics, but it became clear that the NBA and the Grizzlies were the focal point of our daily discussions and group chats and that is where we flourished in our content creation.
About me: My name is Zak (@BarnBurnerZak) and I grew up in Memphis, went to school there, and have been a Grizzlies season ticket holder since I graduated college in 2013. Due to work, I recently relocated to Colorado - about an hour north of Denver. While I am glad to be relatively close to an NBA team in physical proximity, I mainly relish those 1-2 nights a year where I can make the drive south and witness Ja Morant and co. in person.
With the rise in popularity and the ease of navigation of the Substack platform, we have packed up shop at our old digital location and now operate purely from this site.
